Refund Policy
Our Policy on Cancellations, Calls, and Refunds
At TelMDCare, your appointment payment reserves your time with a licensed medical provider. A refund may only be issued before medical care has begun.
Medical care is considered to have begun when the provider attempts to contact you at the scheduled appointment time using the phone number or communication method you provided.
Once the provider initiates the visit, whether the call is answered or unanswered, no refund will be issued, because the provider has allocated clinical time for your appointment.
If the provider makes multiple call attempts during your appointment window and there is no response, the visit is marked as a completed attempt, and no refund will be issued. You may, however, request a rescheduled appointment at no additional charge.
Refunds will NOT be issued in the following situations:
- The provider calls you and you answer (care delivered).
- The provider calls you and you do not answer.
- The provider attempts to contact you multiple times without a response.
- You miss or are unavailable at the scheduled time.
- You provided an incorrect or unreachable phone number.
Refunds may be issued only if:
- You cancel before your provider begins the visit or attempts contact.
- TelMDCare is unable to reach you due to a technical issue on our side (very rare).
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
When am I eligible for a refund?
You are eligible for a refund only if you cancel before the medical visit begins.
Medical care begins when the provider attempts to contact you at the scheduled appointment time.
What does “medical care has begun” mean?
Medical care is considered started as soon as your provider initiates the call or contact attempt, even if you do not answer. Once the provider begins the visit, no refund will be issued.
What if I miss the call or cannot answer in time?
If the provider calls during your appointment window and you do not answer, the visit is considered attempted and no refund will be issued. You may reschedule the visit once at no additional charge.
What if the provider calls multiple times and I still don’t respond?
If the provider attempts to reach you multiple times without a response, the appointment is recorded as completed, and no refund will be issued.
What if I provided the wrong phone number or had poor signal?
If the provider attempts to call the number you provided and cannot reach you, the visit is still considered started, and no refund can be issued. Please ensure your contact information is correct and your phone is available at the time of the visit.
What if there is a technical issue on your side?
If TelMDCare is unable to contact you due to a proven technical issue on our side, we will either:
- reschedule your visit at no charge, or
- issue a refund if preferred.
This situation is rare.
Can I get a refund if the doctor calls me but I don’t want to continue?
No. Once the provider initiates the visit, clinical time has been allocated and the visit is billable. No refund is available at that point.
What if I changed my mind or do not need the appointment anymore?
You may cancel for a full refund as long as you cancel before the provider begins the visit or calls you.
Can I get a refund for missing the appointment?
No. Missed appointments are not refundable because the provider has allocated clinical time for your visit. However, you may reschedule once for free.
